Maybe its not gonna end in 2012 as some people are saying. Maybe our world has already taken the hit – and we are the decendants of the survivors? Have any of you seen whats recently been discovered via the impact and exit event? It suggest a similar ‘2012′ event has alrewady happened. Tale a look at http://www.theimpactandexitevent.com .
If you guys are racing together in the Olympics, then you will be racing together before then correct? Perhaps under the results tab you could have your names, but also the teams results? just a thought, i don’t know actually know how it works…
Hey Sam, I just got another chain email recently mentioning the incorrect math. MUCH less convincing, haha! I didn’t think there was any way that could be accurate, I was just too lazy to type into a calculator . . .
Cool page. I would love to chase the same dream. I just got into a k1 this year. Came from years on a surfski in waves. I am going to try to go to some races this summer and c u guys paddle. Push it!
Hey guys! I have been where you are now and i know how hard it is to make the necessary steps to race hard at the Olympics! Work hard and dream big and you will make it! Wish you the best of luck in your jurney! Jernej Zupancic, Slovenia, http://www.zupancicregent.com
What can I say – I am definitely one of your most dedicated fans – I admire you both and value all the years traveling to kayak venues – especially the Jr. Worlds in Hungary – you’ve got our support on and off the water – and congrats Sam on your first half-iron man – that was amazing -
OMG. Wow. (Plain speechless.) I didn’t know You were runner-up for an Olympic gold medal??!!!??! Well, i know the others have already said it but i’m gonna say it too, because it’s unbelievable: i know the champion, nenenena!!! (this last bit was a very bad Cartman impersonation) You guys have just made it to the top of my role model-list. This is incredible/fantastic/wonderful/etc. You’re making everyone really proud, You do know that, right? (i’m guessing You see my point, as proven by the guestbook) Anyway, hope to see You two in Szeged some time…:) Keep up the good work, “hajrá” (spoken like a true Hungarian)! David, I wanted to tell You something kind of personal, but I’m not about to ruin Your nice site, so…it’ll just have to wait. Wow. Can’t wait to tell everybody!:) Glad i found You. How do You say good bye in kayak, by the way?

When you make it to London in 2012, I highly recommend staying with the Hammars; they know how to show a Yank a good time.
Good luck with your Olympic Bid! I can’t wait to be that girl in the bar who keeps pointing at the screen and yelling, ‘Hey, everybody! I know that guy!’
Hey, nice blog! If you need any help/support with the Ironman training, my dad is a physician and has done 4 Ironman triathlons, so he’d be a really good resource for you (if you need). Coincidentally, he also is very involved with a sport thats sorta similar to kayaking–in that they both involve water and boats and being hardcore–rowing/sculling. Lemme know if you want his E-mail address!
Sam, I’m not going to say I’m your number one fan, cause that spot is taken, but your determination is something I have always admired. As your friend through high school, I’ve watched you put your mind to something and do it. I am sure London will be no different. I’m impressed with your ability to maintain a strict training schedule in addition to school, and ThinkFun, and remaining dedicated to the people around you. Hope to see you in the Bay Area soon, I would say I could help you train…but unless that involves me driving in a car beside you biking, I think that will be unlikely.
Great site guys! I look forward to following your progress in your Ironman training adventures! Please keep the blog posts frequent!!! I am your number one fan!
As full-time students, soon to be full-time athletes, it's often tough to raise the funds we need to get around the country to our races. Any donations would be much appreciated.
